Have you ever heard of pool or billiards? If so, then you should have a basic understanding of snooker, a similar game. Though, it plays rather differently due to its own set of rules.

Snooker is getting virtualized in the form of Snooker 19, a sports simulator from Ripstone Games in collaboration with development studio Lab42. The game was launched earlier this year for other platforms, but now it’s coming to the Switch in just a few days: on August 23, 2019.

Snooker 19 will put players in the shoes of real-world snooker champions as they compete in various virtual tournaments. The game is a bit on the technical side, so keep that in mind before taking the plunge. Here’s a trailer for the Switch version:

I both played and reviewed Snooker 19 on PC. While I found it mildly entertaining, I was a bit put off by its arguably steep learning curve. To me, it felt like the game expected you to know just about everything surrounding how snooker works before playing. But, your mileage may vary.

Snooker 19 will hit the Switch on August 23, 2019 on both the eShop and in physical form for $34.99.
