In a couple of months, AiAi and friends will return in an HD remake of the Wii’s Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. To commemorate the series’ return, Sega teamed up with Banana Fritters (the Japanese group, not the actual food) for a new theme song for the game. Full disclosure, I’ve had this track on loop all morning because “In Love, Bananaana” is a sheer delight to listen to. With cheesy lyrics like “bite a little bit of me!! you’ll see why!!” backed with a loud and cheery melody, I can’t help but split a smile throughout!

The game’s new theme song is on full display with a new Banana Fritz HD gameplay trailer. Give it a watch below!

Seriously, who can’t smile or dance in place to such an appealing theme song? Granted, I don’t know if we will ever see an English version of the track. However, the song is already an absolute jam on its own, so I’d be happy with just the Japanese original! The Banana Fritters certainly sound like a fun bunch.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD launches on October 29 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. What do you think of its new theme song? Sound off in the comments!
