Fire Emblem: Three Houses review

Fire Emblem: Three Houses has parlayed the six-year-old momentum from Fire Emblem: Awakening into a series-best sales performance. Superdata Research’s report on worldwide digital game sales for July 2019 has Fire Emblem: Three Houses as the third-best performing game worldwide. At an estimated 800K digital units sold for the month, Three Houses has enjoyed the best digital launch in series history. This is hardly surprising, considering how amazing the game is–look no further than how much our own Brett Medlock enjoyed the title to see the effect it has had on gamers everywhere.

After such an amazing launch on Switch, it is almost hard to believe that the series was in jeopardy before the successful release of Fire Emblem: Awakening in 2013. Since then, the franchise has been introduced to tens of thousands of new players, and thanks to one quality game after another, it is slowly cementing itself as one of Nintendo’s greats. Fire Emblem‘s growth over the past half-decade has been incredible to witness.

Were you one of the eight-hundred-thousand digital Fire Emblem: Three Houses buyers? Were you one of many who were introduced to the series on 3DS? What do you think of the Switch entry? Sound off in the comments and let us know.
