Nintendo Direct Xenoblade Definitive

Today’s Nintendo Direct had a lot of great stuff. SNES titles were finally unveiled for Switch Online, Banjo and Kazooie have arrived in Smash Ultimate today, and more Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighters will release after the initial Fighters Pass concludes. Lots of cool remasters and ports took center stage, like Deadly Premonition Origins, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore, and, of course, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition. Finally, plenty of upcoming games like Luigi’s Mansion 3, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons showed off excellent new footage. What did you think of today’s Direct?

In my eyes, that was the best Nintendo Direct we’ve had in a while. No segment really droned on at all. On new stuff, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Little Town Hero, and Link’s Awakening all look awesome. It was a dream Direct for legacy games, too: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is one of the few Wii U games I still have not played, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition will gloriously remake one of my favorite games ever, and I can finally play SNES games on my Switch (and only a year until Star Fox 64, at this rate). Otherwise, my dreams for new Echo Fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate can live another day. And I can already begin my ascent to Banjo main status.

What about you? What did you think of today’s Direct? What was your favorite announcement? Let us know in the comments.
