xenoblade chronicles definitive edition

After planet Mira, the realm of Alrest, and a trip back in time to the golden country of Torna, soon we will return to the world of the Bionis and Mechonis once more. Next year, the original Xenoblade Chronicles comes back for the Nintendo Switch as an HD remake!

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition features updated models and visuals, as well as what appears to be a new location in the form of the Bionis’ Shoulder. Fun fact: this area on the organic titan only appeared in the original game via cutscenes and was only accessible via hacks!

I wholeheartedly adored the first Xenoblade Chronicles back when it launched on the New 3DS. The moment I recognized Yoko Shimomura on the piano for the title screen music above, I was already in tears.

With an urgent recruitment drive, and projects like Breath of the Wild 2 and the Xenoblade Chronicles remake, Monolith Soft’s certainly keeping busy! Did you play the original Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii? Are you picking up the Definitive Edition on Nintendo Switch next year? Also, what else do you hope to see in the remaster?

As for me, I’d love to see some crossover goodness with Xenoblade Chronicles 2! Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
