During today’s Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo announced that Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise would be launching on Nintendo Switch in 2020. However, one thing the presentation failed to mention is the fact that the game will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. The only reason we know this tidbit is because the teaser trailer posted after the Nintendo Direct had a slide at the end that says “Coming to Nintendo Switch ONLY.”

The original Deadly Premonition came out nearly a decade ago on the PS3, 360, and on PC. The game was known as a cult-classic, featuring an open-world survivor horror experience taking place in a rural setting. But the game did not launch without controversy. Allegedly, the game holds the Guinness World Record “for the most critically polarizing survival horror game.” The Xbox 360 version of the game currently has a 68 on Metacitic. During today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that the original game would be available on the Switch immediately. You can download Deadly Premonitions Origins right now on the eShop for $29.99.

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise continues the trend of Nintendo securing third-party exclusives. Just last week, the Nintendo Switch saw the release of Astral Chain from Platinum Games. Are you planning on picking up this third-party title as well?
