Untitled Goose Game

Untitled Goose Game is one of those titles that managed to charm all of us before anyone could really even tell what it was all about. Now, the game is out, and I can say with authority that Untitled Goose Game is about being a feathered hooligan. Don’t believe me? Check out the launch trailer below and get a taste for all of the goosey mischiefs you can get up to in game.

If that video was not enough to set the stage for you, developer House House sums Untitled Goose Game up perfectly in the video’s description:

“It’s a lovely morning in the village and you are a horrible goose. Untitled Goose Game is a slapstick-stealth-sandbox, where you are a goose let loose on an unsuspecting village. Make your way around town, from back gardens to the high street shops to the village green, setting up pranks, stealing hats, honking a lot, and generally ruining everyone’s day.”

It’s like Grand Theft Auto, just toned way, way, way down, and you are a bird. Grand Goose Auto? Goose Theft Auto? I’m not sure, but one of those works. Untitled Goose Game is one of the more unique ideas I’ve come across over the last few years, and between watching groundskeeper harassment gameplay and reading up on its unexpected inspirations (Super Mario 64 and Hitman), well, I’m pretty keen to try the game as soon I can. What about you? Are you grabbing the game today, waiting for a sale, or just avoiding it altogether? Let me know in the comments.
