If you’ve read our review for the Nintendo Switch remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, you know that we were very impressed with the game. Including the performance of the game either docked or in handheld mode, we still thought it ran great considering its visuals. However, there have been some reports that Link’s Awakening’s framerate issues are noticeably distracting to some players.

GameXplain‘s own Brainchild took it upon himself to make a video that goes directly into the performance of the game and provides some solutions you can try as well.

I’m not going to pretend that I’m even half as smart as Brainchild when it comes to analysing game performance, but even I can see the difference between the game running off a micro-SD card and off of internal system memory. I don’t think it’s anything that’s major if you’re isolated to only being able to play the game off a cart.

However, if you’re a stickler on framerate performance and own the game digitally, it might be worth it see how the game runs differently with the same experimentation.
