Ratings boards and trademark databases are an excellent way to pick up on game announcements we’re not supposed to know about yet. In this case, per Siliconera, Taiwanese rating boards have apparently revealed the existence of three new Nintendo Switch games from Arc System Works.
They are described as “Unrevealed title A,” “Unrevealed title B,” and “Unrevealed title T,” which is extremely helpful in that it reveals a Taiwanese bias against the letter C. Otherwise, the games have no age restrictions and are not listed for other platforms. Two of the games — seemingly A and B — are listed as action games, while the remaining game is a sports game.
Arc System Works has existed since 1988 but is most well known for high-quality fighting games. Nintendo Switch owners have so far enjoyed the likes of, among others, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle and Dragon Ball FighterZ, the latter of which is the most exciting thing to have ever happened to its franchise in the realm of gaming. (Yes, that includes upcoming Kakarot!)
It’s possible one or more of these unrevealed Arc System Works titles could be fighting games, but the developer dabbles in straightforward beat ’em ups like Double Dragon IV and River City Girls as well. Whatever these games are, we look forward to finding out the full details.
But in the meantime, what do you suspect these Arc System Works games are?
