Fall Guys will be getting a Nier: Automata 2B crossover on June 18. This was announced during yesterday’s Summer Game Fest Kick Off Live, which was hosted by Geoff Keighley. The crossover will feature a 2B costume, allowing you to run around the game donning her iconic outfit. It does not appear that any more costumes for different Nier: Automata characters will be made available.
However, Nintendo Switch owners will need to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on Fall Guys. The Nintendo Switch and Xbox versions were delayed at the end of April, with the release date window currently unknown. Originally, developer Mediatonic wanted to release the game sometime in summer 2021. Fall Guys was extremely popular when it first released on PlayStation 4 and PC back in August 2020, so hopefully this delay won’t cause the game to lose its momentum. Either way, Mediatonic is safe, having been acquired by Epic Games.
Unfortunately, this probably means that Switch players will miss out on a substantial amount of content, including the Fall Guys x NieR Automata 2B crossover event. In the meantime, Mediatonic is continuing to update its current platforms with regular new content. With E3 2021 still yet to take place, there is a chance that Fall Guys may reappear, maybe during Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct?
