3D World speed comparison

Did you wonderful people check out the extended glance at Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury? The original game looks just as pretty as I remember on the Switch compared to the Wii U version. However, there appears to be an added bonus attached to the Switch port. Thanks to the investigative folks over at Nintendo Life and their Super Mario 3D World speed comparison, it looks like Mario and friends move significantly quicker than they did before.

This Super Mario 3D World speed comparison reminds me of Street Fighter II Turbo

Take a look at Nintendo Life’s video below:

As you can see, the video editor took capture footage from the Wii U game and contrasted it to trailer clips from the Switch port.

Mario is seriously hoofing it on Nintendo’s latest console. Even looking at the speed slowed down 50%, you can see a big difference. Speedrunning this bad boy is going to be easy peasy.

Hopefully, you all have friends that can keep up with this turbo speed and won’t throw themselves into the void.

Enthusiasts, are you excited about the suped-up pace featured in this Super Mario 3D World speed comparison? Is this new feature plus Bowser’s Fury enough to justify a re-purchase for $60? Let us know your opinions down below!
