Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX release date June 22, 2021 moved 2 days forward Merge Games Jankenteam Nintendo Switch

Publisher Merge Games and developer Jankenteam have released a new trailer for Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, as well as a new release date that has been moved forward by two days: June 22, 2021. The “Greetings from Miracle World” shows off the variety of settings you will be traversing, including lava levels, underwater areas, and areas that involve flying in helicopters or riding jet skis or motorbikes. It also reiterates that the game includes a feature to instantly switch back to the original Sega Master System game graphics.

For those who could use a quick refresher, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX is a remake of a 1986 game that includes new levels and a remastered soundtrack, but you can also play the game the original way with the old music as well. There are additionally revamped boss fights involving “more intuitive combat” and an accompanying Boss Rush mode. The star of the show is certainly the beautiful new pixel art though, as the trailers showcase.

With its new June 22 release date, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX will come to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store slightly earlier. Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX will retail for $19.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop, but you can grab it physically for $34.99 or a special edition for $70.00.
