Among Us Switch Sales Innersloth Superdata 3.2 million copies sold December

Innersloth’s Among Us received a sudden release on Nintendo Switch last month, and according to SuperData, the game sold 3.2 million copies that month alone. The Switch port was the highest-earning version of the game for the month of December. Total Among Us player numbers dropped after its November peak, but the game still managed to be 2.8 times as popular as Roblox.

This is unsurprising as Among Us was the game everyone was talking about throughout 2020. It has an easy-to-grasp gameplay loop and can honestly be quite addicting. The game takes place in outer space and sees players taking on the role of a Crewmate or an Imposter.

The Crewmates must complete a variety of tasks while also trying to eliminate the Imposters. On the flip side, the Imposters are trying to sabotage the other players mission by eliminating them from the game. When a body is found, the lobby of players try to figure out who did it. You probably didn’t need me to explain all this, but Among Us is a fun game if you have yet to play it.

Among Us is currently available to download on the Nintendo eShop and only costs $5.00/£3.89. If you have friends to play with, you’re in for a night of calling people “sus.”
