Analogue Pocket

The Analogue Pocket is an intriguing all-in-one handheld gaming device that can play titles from the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and other handhelds, and it’s slowly drawing towards release. Per the official Analogue Twitter account, it’s taking another big step towards the market: opening up for preorders. You’ll be able to reserve your own Analogue Pocket on the product’s web page starting at 8 AM PST on Monday, August 3.

Priced at $199, the Analogue Pocket can run your physical copies of Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance games right out of the box. It also comes packed in with a “digital audio workstation” called Nanoloop that enables users to create and hone their own music. If you grab some system-specific adapters, you can add Game Gear, Atari Lynx, and Neo Geo Pocket Color functionality as well. Finally, you can even grab a dock to experience your handheld favorites on the big screen.

Think you’ll be preordering an Analogue Pocket? How you do you like the look and function of the device? Will you take this as an opportunity to build up some long-neglected portable libraries of yours? Let us know in the comments down below.
