Animal Crossing: New Horizons summer update 2 drops this month

Wave 2 of the Animal Crossing: New Horizons summer update has been revealed. When the first half dropped earlier this month, a second wave was hinted at with a few details. We now know that player dreams, firework displays, and more will arrive on July 30 for the game.

The trailer reveals all the details about the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons summer update wave 2. Firework shows will take place on Sundays throughout August, in both the northern and southern hemispheres. It looks like Redd is bringing a prize raffle to the firework proceedings too. Some Animal Crossing-themed fireworks are popping off in the trailer, and Nintendo has stated that you can launch your own custom designs as well.

Sleep time is becoming a little more interesting in New Horizons too. Hop into bed for some sleep and you can enter a dream state where you meet Luna, who grants access to different dream islands. The final major detail in this upcoming update is the island backup restoration service, which will let Switch Online members upload and recover their game data online.

Closing out the Animal Crossing: New Horizons summer update wave 2 trailer was a tease for what’s next: A fall update is coming later this year, and it will apparently have a Halloween theme.
