Nintendo provides official Animal Crossing: New Horizons Usage Guidelines for Businesses and Organizations, no politics but Animal Talking from Gary Whitta probably okay December Winter Update

The heart of the winter update is upon us in Animal Crossing: New Horizons this December. As we move further into the month, more of the festivities hit the latest Animal Crossing title, and a new trailer shows us what to expect in the coming weeks. Toy Day is coming, alongside other new activities.

Toy Day hits on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, where players can deliver presents to islanders and exchange Christmas gifts. Remember, Nintendo recently blocked time traveling for these winter events, so no one has seen everything that Toy Day will bring just yet.

Elsewhere, general scenery looks suitably festive, with island trees becoming decked out in Christmas lights and plenty of snow. If you shake said trees, you can grab some ornaments to craft into your own island decorations. New Christmas jumpers and holiday-themed gear will also be available in the store.

As usual, there’s a host of new bugs and critters to catch this month. For Northern Hemisphere players, these include dung beetles, lobsters, and more. Rounding out the trailer is a new gift for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp players as a Christmas treat. If you play the mobile title, you can grab an in-game Pocket Camp-themed phone case in Animal Crossing: New Horizons this December.
