Animal Crossing: New Horizons Brie Larson Mr. Resetti Nintendo Direct

Nintendo fans have been absolutely starving for news lately. The company’s social media accounts are constantly bombarded with cries of “When is the next Nintendo Direct?” Well, ask no more! Today we finally have our answer. It just might not be the one some fans were hoping for. If you were expecting an all-purpose event, you’ll have to wait a little bit longer. Instead, we’re getting a video presentation focused solely on Animal Crossing.

Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct

Animal Crossing: New Horizons hits Switch on March 20. Exactly one month prior, on February 20, Nintendo will host a Direct that gives us an extensive look at the upcoming island adventure. This video presentation will last for 25 minutes, which is a pretty good chunk of time to spend on one game. And frankly, it’s about time!

We’ve hardly seen any gameplay for Animal Crossing: New Horizons so far, and it’s already one of the most highly-anticipated games around. Once eager fans actually have some gameplay footage to sink their teeth into, the hype should be through the roof!

Tune in this Thursday

The Nintendo Direct kicks off on the 20th at 6:00 a.m. Pacific / 9:00 a.m. Eastern time. That’s 2:00 p.m. for our friends in the UK. We’ll be streaming it all live right here at Nintendo Enthusiast and covering all the big news as it breaks. Tune in Thursday morning to join us for all of the exciting reveals!

It may be a tad disappointing that we still don’t have any word about a general Nintendo Direct, but this makes more sense right now. Once Animal Crossing is out in the wild, Nintendo can shift their marketing towards the rest of the 2020 lineup. Thus far, it’s looking pretty empty. That should change by the time E3 rolls around in June, but a general Nintendo Direct would be quite welcome before then.
