Pokémon Unite MOBA Nintendo Switch mobile devices Tencent TiMi Studios

Today’s Pokémon Presents event hit us with a surprise announcement that I don’t think many of us saw coming: Pokémon Unite, a MOBA born out of a partnership with Tencent that will land on Switch and mobile devices. A MOBA makes great sense as a spin-off for a franchise with hundreds of recognizable monsters, but most fans today were hoping for something a little different out of the presentation. Regardless, we got what we got, and that’s Pokémon Unite. Are you excited to play it?

Honestly, I could not care less about Pokémon Unite. I’m just not a MOBA guy. Frankly, I’m barely a Pokémon guy most of the time. The series has some interesting spin-offs, and this certainly has the potential to be good, interesting, and to rope in millions of players, but it’s not for me. I’ll just bide my time waiting for other games such as New Pokémon Snap, and the Pokémon Diamond remake that my heart hopes exists one day soon.

How do you feel about Pokémon Unite? Will you be trying the game out? Are you dying to get into a match? Or are you thoroughly disinterested? Let us know your thoughts on the game in the comment section below,
