It’s not the most surprising revelation, but sources are indicating Arnold Schwarzenegger will not voice Terminator T-800 when the character appears as Kombat Pack DLC in Mortal Kombat 11. It is only his likeness that we will experience in the game, and a soundalike will be used for the voice. I hope they can find another husky Austrian native to do it, as getting some random American to do an embarrassing accent sounds like a bad idea. (Although the series isn’t a stranger to embarrassing voiceovers.)
All the same, developer NetherRealm Studios is really happy to have the semblance of Arnold Schwarzenegger in Mortal Kombat 11. Series co-creator Ed Boon tweeted, “Part of me still can’t believe we got Arnold.” I’d feel exactly the same if I were him. At this point, they might as well throw in Sylvester Stallone‘s Rambo too, seeing how Last Blood comes out in less than a month. Basically anything would be better than that hideous and dull Joker that the Kombat Pack also revealed.
Terminator T-800, minus Arnold’s voice, will release in Mortal Kombat 11 on Oct. 8, while Shang Tsung and Nightwolf are already available. Are you hyped to play as Terminator here, or will you opt to play as the machine in one of the billion games with a lazier Dark Fate tie-in?
