Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream rated in Australia Australian Classification board Koei Tecmo Gust

As first spotted by Gematsu, the Australia ratings board Australian Classification has rated Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream for unspecified consoles, coming from developer Gust and publisher Koei Tecmo. To date, no such game has been officially announced, so the rating comes as a surprise. The original Atelier Sophie launched in the West on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2016, followed by a PC release in 2017, and a “DX” version came to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PC this past April. The DX release was part of Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack, which also included Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey DX and Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings DX.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream will likely be announced during Tokyo Game Show 2021 Online, as Koei Tecmo is on the schedule for October 2 at 8:00 p.m. Japan time. The Atelier franchise has existed for decades now, but it really found some mainstream success with 2019’s Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout, which shipped over 1 million units and quickly spurred a sequel.

Stay tuned for a formal announcement of Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, hopefully with Nintendo Switch among its platforms.
