Bayonetta 2 launched for Nintendo Switch back in February, and the game has already outsold the Wii U version in the same timeframe.

During its first nine weeks of release, Bayonetta 2 on Switch sold nearly 400,000 units. In the same amount of time, Bayonetta 2 on Wii U failed to crack 300,000 units. The sales data includes United States, Europe, and Japan. Additionally, these numbers don’t account for physical sales.

Bayonetta 2 was originally a Wii U exclusive title, but was brought over to Switch in a dual pack. Seeing how the game didn’t garner the success Platinum Games and Nintendo hoped for on Wii U, it’s great to see Switch giving the title some more spotlight.
