Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya teases a Mortal Kombat 11 crossover

Holy crossovers, Batman! It seems with Shaggy out of the running for guest characters in Mortal Kombat 11, a new contender has stepped forward. In the below tweet, Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya has teased that he would like to see the Umbra Witch in the gory fighter. Finish her? Yes, please!

That was then followed shortly about concerns seeing Bayonetta get the fatality treatment. It seems Hideki-sama doesn’t mind seeing his creation get bloody.

It’s hard to argue that Bayonetta wouldn’t be a good fit. She has been integrated well in the Smash Bros. series. Her more mature vibe also worked in the 2012 beat em up fighter Anarchy Reigns. Wreaking havoc in Mortal Kombat 11 would be like a typical weekend for her.

If this were to happen, Bayonetta would certainly be a Switch exclusive character. It would be a lot of fun seeing how her hair-based attacks and gun heels would work. And her fatality? The possibilities are endless! Just pick any of her patented torture attacks for inspiration.

While certainly a long shot, you can’t deny Bayonetta stands more of a chance than Shaggy ever did. Plus it would be a nice consolation for Switch users. Remember that Kratos was a PlayStation 3 exclusive in Mortal Kombat 9. In a world where Negan from The Walking Dead is in Tekken 7, anything is possible.
