Best Buy leaks Metroid Prime Trilogy, A Link to the Past for Switch

Best Buy may just become the new Wal-Mart Canada. The retail giant appears to have listed some major unannounced Switch titles. One of those is the oft-rumored Switch port of Metroid Prime Trilogy. The other? A potential remake of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.

Both titles were briefly listed on the Best Buy website before being taken down. That’s not before Twitter user Wario64 took snapshots of the curious listings.

With the announcement of Metroid Prime 4, a rerelease of Trilogy has long been rumored. It was originally released for Wii, then became available as a download for Wii U. What better way to get fans hyped for the new title than another chance to relive the past?

Speaking of reliving the past, it seems Nintendo is also not done wowing us with Zelda content. As stated by Wario64, this appears to not be a simple naming error as it was separate from the Link’s Awakening listing. That means that we are either seeing a special port of A Link to the Past or a full-blown remake. It would make sense as it is one of the most beloved titles in the franchise. But seeing two Legend of Zelda remakes seems too good to be true. We’ll just have to cross our fingers for now.
