Bioshock and Borderlands

Last month, gamers received word 2K Games are bringing Bioshock and Borderlands games to Nintendo Switch. Many of the titles in the respective franchises are quite good, and now players can experience them on the go. But what about those of us who were dismayed upon hearing of the collections’ hefty downloads? Fret not, as 2K has produced a solution: separate downloads!

Bioshock and Borderlands are both critically acclaimed FPS series

As a reminder, BioShock: The Collection contains BioShock, BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, and all of their DLC. Borderlands Legendary Collection carries BorderlandsBorderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and their extra content.

Perhaps you only like the original BioShock, though. Also, maybe you find the first Borderlands isn’t as refined as its successors. That’s why 2K Games is giving the public the option to download any of the games individually via the Switch eShop. Of course, it might make more sense savings-wise to get the compendiums, but some gamers want to save room on the Switch’s limited hard drive.

However, the Borderlands titles have a slight caveat. Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel must be together as Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. In addition, the Borderlands 2: Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary add-on is not available no matter how you buy these shooters. Probably because it ties into Borderlands 3 and that isn’t coming to Switch.

Enthusiasts, are you happy to have some type of answer to the massive amount of space these games take up? Let us know below.
