Blasphemous is a pretty sweet Metroidvania. It’s gloriously violent, has some fantastic religious imagery, and crossed over with Bloodstained recently. As a fan myself, I was bummed when I missed out on getting a physical edition from Limited Run. Thankfully, my prayers of an alternate cartridge-based release were just answered by video game publisher, Sold Out. The company is helping to launch a Deluxe Edition of Blasphemous for Switch in stores.
The Deluxe Edition of Blasphemous contains both physical and digital content
Here is what’s inside the upcoming package:
- Sheet of stickers you can use to decorate your home in transgressions
- Poster of Cvstodia, the gothic world from the title
- Previous DLC skins, “Alloy of Sin” and “Golden Burden”
- Digital comic
- 195-page Digital Artbook
- 32-track Digital Soundtrack
Some cool stuff included, but I wish all the digital offerings were corporeal. The Collector’s Edition from Limited Run had a Mea Culpa sword replica, for God’s sake! I’m assuming all of the free DLC expansions will be present in the cartridge, at least.
The Blasphemous Deluxe Edition is due to launch on June 29.
