Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a great game that is still receiving updates. Similarly, Blasphemous is a great-looking title that is getting fresh content, as well. The last thing anyone expected, however, was the two indies combining in some way. Publisher Team17 and developer The Game Kitchen shattered those expectations today. A free update for Blasphemous, entitled “Strife and Ruin,” will bring Bloodstained‘s Miriam into the world of Cvstodia for a crossover on February 18.
I cannot believe a Bloodstained, Blasphemous crossover is happening

I don’t know how, but the pairing works so well!
“Strife and Ruin” will see Challenge Rooms added to Blasphemous that are Castlevania-like in nature: full of spikes, blades, and other death traps. A Boss Rush mode will also be on offer for gamers who completed the main campaign. Last but not least, a Demake area will be included that transforms The Penitent One and all baddies into 8-bit sprites. Old television effects can be applied to the main game, too.
Such a meaty update! I’m thrilled to see Miriam fight alongside The Penitent One (she looks like a summon). In addition, secret rewards will be granted to players who complete the three new modes.
