Yesterday, we reported on how Pan European Game Information (PEGI) had oddly rated the DLC package Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut for Nintendo Switch alongside its other expected platforms. We noted how it was possible the rating could be a mistake, and apparently — it was. PEGI has updated the listing to remove any mention of Nintendo Switch. PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC ratings all remain. Additionally, an associate SEO editor at GameSpot claims to have spoken to a 2K representative who stated that Borderlands 3 is not coming to Switch.
Borderlands 3 is not coming to Switch, per a convo I just had with a 2K rep

So, that pretty much closes the door on the possibility of the Gearbox Software looter shooter heading to Switch — for now, at least. Again, Borderlands Legendary Collection, which includes Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, took quite a while to come to Switch, but it did get there — in addition to other 2K collections BioShock: The Collection and XCOM 2 Collection. There is highly tenuous evidence to support that the porting process may have already begun, in fact.
Then again, it could also be the case that 2K just isn’t interested in downgrading one more complex game like Borderlands 3 to fit on Switch.
