Borderlands Legendary Collection

Nintendo’s surprise Direct last week was quite meaty. One sweet announcement was 2K Games bringing some of its flagship titles to Switch. Among them was Borderlands Legendary Collection, which consists of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. And while some bad news accompanied that reveal, today’s report is awesome. It’s looking like this compilation is going to be an impressive port.

Switch users get three fun games with Borderlands Legendary Collection

Turn Me Up, one of the company’s tasked with porting the trio of Borderlands games to Switch, has some additional information on the compendium via its website.

Perusing the webpage reveals Borderlands Legendary Collection will run at 1080p resolution and 30 FPS. Additionally, no art assets were downgraded to make the titles fit on the Switch. Granted, remasters of these adventures run at higher resolutions and FPS on other consoles, but this is an impressive achievement for Nintendo’s hybrid machine.

Also, since this is the Switch we are talking about, motion controls are in. I hope gamers are excited to use their hands to aim Borderlands’ zillions of guns when this trilogy launches May 29, 2020.
