The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker breath of the wild

Nintendo had to make some compromises thanks to COVID-19, but for the most part, Mario’s 35th birthday was a rousing success. Headlined by Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury landing (or, in the latter’s case, eventually landing) on Switch, Nintendo highlighted plenty of great experiences from the famous plumber’s storied past. Now, many fans have their eyes on next year, when The Legend of Zelda and Metroid celebrate the same milestone. Today, let’s talk The Legend of Zelda: what do you hope Nintendo does with the series next year to celebrate its anniversary?

I need to have the Breath of the Wild sequel in my hands, stat. I hope to see a similar treatment to what Mario got for the retro catalog, as well – Nintendo, get as many of those 3D classics onto the Switch as possible, and toss a few 2D games onto Nintendo Switch Online while you’re at it, please. I’d love a standalone Skyward Sword remake, and then a Super Mario 3D All-Stars-style compilation of the 3D titles that have already been remade. But, mostly, I need more Breath of the Wild.

What do you want to see from the The Legend of Zelda series next year? What’s your highest priority? Let us know in the comments below.
