Animal Crossing Rogue One Danny Trejo Brie Larson

Gary Whitta, the writer behind Star Wars: Rogue One, recently began his own late-night Animal Crossing: New Horizons talk show, Animal Talking. In the show, guests meet up with Gary in his in-game home and chat about their experiences with the game. He’s on the prowl for big-time guests, inviting popular, Animal Crossing-loving stars like Danny Trejo, Brie Larson, and even the famous former president of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime. He has also reached out to T-Pain and a few more people – too many to list. The invites pop up in tweets to each celebrity, and here’s the kicker: while Danny Trejo, Brie Larson, and many others have not publicly responded to Gary’s requests just yet, Reggie did, and it looks like he’s down for a virtual hangout with the Rogue One writer. Check out the invites, embedded below.

Reggie would be a pretty big get for Gary’s show – I’m quite interested in seeing how that turns out, and I’m sure plenty of others would be as well. Danny Trejo, known Nintendo superfan Brie Larson, and T-Pain could be just as exciting, of course. Still, even before Reggie implied his availability, Animal Talking was far from a stranger to success (writing Rogue One evidently comes with some connections). Before Reggie, the show had already enjoyed Felicia Day’s presence in an episode. Since just about everyone is playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Gary’s potential guest list is miles long.

Gary is obviously quite passionate about Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it’s great seeing him work to share that passion with others. If you have not yet seen the show, and you’re interested in hearing all sorts of star-studded discussion on Animal Crossing: New Horizons, check out the Star Wars: Rogue One writer’s YouTube channel and keep an eye out for guests like Reggie and more (the Marvel fan in me is specifically hoping for Brie Larson to pop up).
