Ruiner

Ruiner, a cyberpunk top-down shooter developed by Reikon Games, is slated to release on Switch soon, per an announcement by the developers today on Twitter. The reveal comes with some all-caps flair and a slight troll in binary. Check out the tweet below.

The tweet says that Ruiner will be on Switch “01010011 01001111 01001111 01001110,” which translates to “SOON.” Not the outright release date many were hoping for, but hopefully, Reikon waited to announce until they were positive that the port was nearly done.

Many of you may have seen this news and wondered, “What the heck is Ruiner?” The game’s website gives a useful overvalue and a cool prologue introducing a cyberpunk adventure in a dystopic city in disarray. Despite some middling review scores from outlets like IGN, the game has at least a bit of a cult following, and more than a few sites praised the game for its cyberpunk atmosphere and fluid, varied combat.

Are you intrigued by Ruiner? Do you think you’ll give it a shot on Switch? You may have already picked up the game last year when it was temporarily free on the Epic Games Store, but otherwise, you’ll have your chance to grab it for on-the-go play 01010011 01001111 01001111 01001110.
