Build-A-Bear is no stranger to the world of video games, previously releasing a host of Pokémon plushes and even their own stuffed take on Sonic the Hedgehog. Wouldn’t Animal Crossing villagers be a natural fit? One Twitter user seemed to think so, and after their tweet saying as much garnered nearly 150,000 likes on Twitter, the official Build-A-Bear account seemed pretty interested as well.

There are plenty of Animal Crossing villagers who would make great choices for a Build-A-Bear plush. It’s practically a no-brainer, in my opinion. There are plenty of potential picks. For example, you could have Tom Nook with a bag of Bells or K,K, Slider with his guitar.

Even though a tweet from the custom stuffed animal company’s official account probably does not mean that much, if Nintendo is at all interested in capitalizing on the record-breaking success of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, they’d probably look into collaborations such as this one. I hope they do, anyway.

If Build-A-Bear and Nintendo did link up for some Animal Crossing stuffed animal goodness, what series characters would you want to see? You could go for staples like Isabelle and Tom Nook, sure, but it would be criminal if all of the series’ personable, lovable villagers went without any representation. I’d love to see Raymond – if I can’t have him join my village in-game, maybe a plush would be some consolation. Hopefully, we’ll see this partnership come to light soon. I’m not getting my hopes up, but official attention from Build-A-Bear just might be worth something, right?
