Earlier this year, Gearbox announced that Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition would be coming to Switch. Aside from a vague release window of “this summer,” no other release information was given as the time. True to their word (it is still summer, after all), Bulletstorm dropped with a surprise launch today.
A port of the 2011 shooter for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, Bulletstorm places players in the shoes of exiled assassin Grayson Hunt as he heads out on a revenge mission against his former boss. Though you can play Bulletstorm as a standard shooter, the game rewards you with its unique Skillshot system. You gain rewards for pulling off creative kills, ranging from general tasks such as killing an enemy who’s on fire to more stylish shots like ramming an enemy with a hot dog cart. These rewards give you skill points, which you can then use to upgrade your weapons.
The Duke of Switch Edition available on the eShop includes the Duke Nukem’s Bulletstorm Tour DLC, in which you can play through the campaign as the King himself. Duke Nukem is even voiced by his original actor!
Bulletstorm: Duke of Switch Edition is now available on the Switch eShop for $29.99. Will you be picking this one up?
