Cadence of Hyrule

Brace Yourself Games has released a new patch for Cadence of Hyrule that brings the game up to version 1.0.2. The update has a few general improvements and a lot of bug fixes, mainly adding the following to the game:

  • Achievements
  • Co-op leaderboards
  • “Beat Rumble” option that vibrates the controller on the beat
  • Colorblind assist
  • General balancing and bug fixes

Full patch notes that further detail bug fixes and a few of the cosmetic adjustments were dropped on the Brace Yourself Games discord channel and can be found here.

This Cadence of Hyrule update is rather small overall, but it makes what should amount to some rather significant additions. The Beat Rumble mode and colorblind assist in particular should round out the experience for many, and co-op leaderboards and achievements will give many players a reason to hop back into the game.

We absolutely loved Cadence of Hyrule when it came out. Andrew Gonzales scored it an 8.5/10 in his review and stated that “rhythm genre enthusiasts will be treated to an unforgettable experience that is a welcome addition to your gaming catalog.” Now, with a free update adding achievements and co-op leaderboards, the future seems bright for Cadence of Hyrule.

Does version 1.0.2 add and change enough to draw you back into Cadence of Hyrule? Let us know in the comments.
