The Nintendo Switch is selling well all over the world, but it’s doing especially well in Canada.

According to Go Nintendo, the hybrid system is the #1 most sold console of 2017, followed closely by the Playstation 4. Switch has sold four thousand more units than the PS4 in the region, coming in at 209,000 and 205,000 respectively.

Nintendo Canada General Manager, Pierre-Paul Trepanier, had this to say regarding Nintendo’s comeback year:

“It’s definitely been a complete change of fortune and direction, from a business perspective, for Nintendo. We have had a lot of gaming experiences that have succeeded in the essence of making people smile. At the heart of it, it is very simple universal game mechanics that any kid or kid at heart can jump in and enjoy.”
