At this year’s PAX East gaming conference in Boston, Massachusetts, Capcom made some great announcements from the reveal of Ducktales Remastered, on down to the more exciting news of Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara and that they are coming to the Nintendo Wii U eShop.  However, many fans of everyone’s favorite blue bomber Mega Man had been waiting with their buster cannons drawn to fire back in a barrage of charged shots at Capcom if a new Mega Man game wasn\’t announced.

Since it is the the big blue’s 25th anniversary, fans were expecting more than just the fan made Mega Man verses Street Fighter X game that came out a few months ago.  Despite the lack of a new game, Nintendo Life said that new Mega Man swag was going to be released on a continued basis this year.  There is going to be a new limited edition figure of Mega Man which will be released at the San Diego Comic-Con and another new figure representing both the classic blue bomber himself and his Mega Man X future counterpart together will be coming to Capcom’s online store to celebrate Mega Man X’s impending anniversary.

Some Japanese art books were announced among which were Mega Man R20+.  The books, according to Capcom, are coming in the second part of 2013.  An interesting crossover of two blue super powers is coming together with one being a speed demon and the other a blue bomber with a penchant for blasting away evil robots and taking their abilities.  That’s right, in Archie Comic’s Sonic the Hedgehog, things will start with Mega Man in #24 and digital soundtracks of some of the best Mega Man music will be available for people to download.

The final, concrete, set in stone days of release for Mega Man 4 and Mega Man 5 for the 3DS virtual console were also announced.  Mega Man 4 is set to release on the 3DS eShop on April 25 and Mega Man 5 is set for May 16 and Mega Man 6 will come out sometime in June.  They said it wasn\’t clear if Europe would get those games on the same dates listed but more information should come later.
