Nintendo has confirmed that the Captain Toad mini levels in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will include four-player co-op. Previously, the Wii U version only allowed one player to complete these, so this is great if you’re playing with your friends! This was confirmed through the Super Mario UK Twitter account, as you can see below.

With Captain Toad four-player, this now means that all aspects of the game are playable in co-op. Super Mario 3D World is a game many enjoyed with family and friends. When I got it for my Wii U, my brother and I had a blast playing through the various different levels. The Captain Toad mini-levels also resulted in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, a full game that is available on Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo 3DS.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is scheduled to release on Feb. 12. More details have since been shared on online multiplayer and how the Bowser’s Fury mode will play. Either adventure can be started straight from the title screen, so you can decide which one to tackle first. The game is also launching alongside the Mario Red & Blue Edition Nintendo Switch console, as well as Cat Mario and Cat Peach amiibo. Are you excited for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury and to play some four-player Captain Toad?
