Netflix announced back in March that Konami and Adi Shankar’s Castlevania animated series is coming back for a season 4. However, if you’re a major fan of the franchise, you have something else to look forward to next year as well: a new art book for the series from Dark Horse Books, which will contain content from all four seasons. Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series will launch on June 23, 2021, (Retailers are listing June 22, however.) and it is available to preorder in hardcover at retailers like Penguin Random House and Amazon, the latter of which also offers it on Kindle.
Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series will offer the following, per Dark Horse Books description: “Hundreds of pieces of ultra-detailed artwork are contained in these pages, including stunning, never-before-seen illustrations of monsters, characters, and environments. Experience the labor of love expressed while adapting the design for Dracula’s castle, and get a closer look at the intricacies of each prop’s fastidiously created components!”
It sounds like all your favorite characters and locations from the show will be represented well in Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series, including a few you don’t even know about yet from season 4. Let us know if you’re excited to get your hands on this book. In all honesty, I fell off the Netflix show after season 2; most of the second season put me in a coma. I am deeply excited for more of The Witcher though, as well as whatever’s going on with Capcom’s various projects.
