A decade after its launch, Minecraft is still one of the most popular games in the world. Mojang and Microsoft keep the simple game fresh and fun with regular updates, and the next big one is almost here! The Caves & Cliffs update rolls out over the summer in installments, and Part 1 launches next week. You’ll be able to dip your toes into the future of Minecraft on June 8.
Caves & Cliffs Part 1 is on the way
Caves & Cliffs Part 1 will be available for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Windows 10 – as well as Java Edition on Windows, macOS, and Linux. You’ll have to wait a little longer for some of the most eagerly anticipated new content, but there’s some good stuff in this first installment.
Download Caves & Cliffs Part 1 and you’ll have access to three new animals. First up, there are goats who won’t hesitate to headbutt you, so watch out! On a more peaceful note, axolotls will also be joining the party. Finally, the glow squid will be making the jump over from Minecraft: Earth. You can also look forward to a variety of new blocks, including amethyst, dripleaves, and copper. These blocks can in turn be used to create new items, including the spyglass.
