Twitter is an awful cesspool that highlights the depths of human incompetence thousands or millions of times per minute. The silver lining is that Twitter is also full of spectacularly high-quality art for every sort of thing you can think of, and you never know when you’re going to run into something new and eye-popping. Case in point, a Japanese Twitter user has shared Bowser art drawn in every style and era of Nintendo, both hand-drawn and with pixel art. The results are extraordinary. The user deftly dips into the pixel color palettes of Super Mario Bros., Super Mario World, Super Mario RPG, Mario & Luigi, and more. Then the artist just as deftly pops out Bowser art in the flavor of old Pokémon or Super Smash Bros.

The attention to detail here can’t be understated. Had this artist produced even just half of the Bowser art here, it would still be an awesome accomplishment. A terrific “power” pose was chosen as well that captures the kind of jerk Bowser can be. This is remarkable stuff top to bottom.
If you need more awesome video game art in your life, you can check out Dave Rapoza’s Final Fantasy VI and Super Metroid masterpieces, or you can check out the coolest pixel art Twitter ever.
