Earlier this summer, Nintendo launched a contest to promote its new Nintendo Labo toy-sets. The contest involves creators trying their best to create their own custom Labo games using the Toy-Cons and the Toy-Con Garage functionality. Entering this contest would offer the chance to win a special custom-painted Labo-themed Switch set, including a customized console, dock, and Joy-Con.

Twitter user B31 managed to snag some up-close-and-personal shots of this special Labo-themed Switch set. It definitely looks like the cardboard it’s themed after; I think it happens to be rather charming in a way. See for yourself:

Dbrand doesn’t have any ‘cardboard’ skin option, so it looks like these special official paint-jobs are the only way to ever have a Switch that looks like this. It would be cool if Nintendo explores this concept more in the near future with a wider range of different special themes, similar to how the PS4 and Xbox One have a few color options.
