Classic Pokémon has been recreated in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

So far we’ve had a lot of Pokémon in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Whether it’s been through Pokémon-themed clothing codes or a recreation of Pallet Town, players have been going to great lengths to pay homage to one of the greatest game franchises in history. Now however, we’ve seen it all.

As you can see in the video above, someone has created a ridiculous amount of custom Pokémon content in their Animal Crossing: New Horizons game. Not only have they made a very convincing Cyndaquil outfit, but they’ve also built scenes from classic Pokémon Game Boy games.

It looks as though the islands are based on key moments from Pokémon Silver and Gold. We have the watering can being used to wake up Sudowoodo, a flute (ocarina) being used to wake a Snorlax, and of course the Red Gyarados in the center of the lake. Unfortunately, they did not include the pink Butterfree that should be in the trees around the lake, but we’ll let that slide given the scope of the project as a whole.

While we can’t tell you the creator’s name, since we can’t translate it accurately, we can give you their creator code. Using code MA-3968-3119-7746, you can access all of their custom Pokémon in Animal Crossing: New Horizons content, should you want to use it for your own island build.

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
