User data appears to have been temporarily lost

If you tried to sign onto Club Nintendo today, you were either met with a message informing you of your inability to sign in due to high usage of the platform or when you signed in, you saw that your To-Do list was cleared along with your coins. The presumed culprit is assumed to be caused by the high number of users trying to redeem their free game from the Mario Kart 8 digital bonus game promotion.

According to GamesUnderPressure, issues spanned from connectivity and error messages to some users even being able to collect two free games with their redemption of Mario Kart 8 instead of one — which I guess is only an issue on Nintendo’s end.

If you keep trying, you may find that you can still sign in, but on normal circumstances, the site displays the following statement:

Club Nintendo is currently unavailable due to site maintenance.

We apologize for any inconvenience.
