Square Enix has been snatching up trademarks globally for the past few months, all of them involving Seiken Densetsu, known internationally as the Mana series. This time around, Square Enix has trademarked “Collection of Mana” for Europe.
Back in February, they trademarked that same name for Japan. Prior to that, Square Enix trademarked “Final Fantasy Adventure” and Secret of Mana” for the United States. They also trademarked those two names plus “Mystic Quest” in Europe.
Furthermore, it’s important to remember that Japan exclusively received Seiken Densetsu Collection on Nintendo Switch in 2017, which contained the first three Seiken Densetsu games. The first two of these games came to North America as Final Fantasy Adventure on Game Boy and Secret of Mana on Super Nintendo respectively. The third game, Seiken Densetsu 3, never left Japan.
In any case, E3 is just a week away. And it’s starting to look very likely that Square Enix will announce some sort of Mana collection to be released internationally. At this point, basically every old Square fan is crossing their fingers to receive an official localization of Seiken Densetsu 3. Please, Square!
