Next Level Games Luigi's Mansion 3

Nintendo has launched another installment in their “My Way” commercial series for the Switch, this time focusing on two fresh releases in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Luigi’s Mansion 3. The commercial is pretty adorable, starring a little girl and her father bonding over the two featured games. You can check it below, courtesy of Nintendo’s YouTube channel.

Pretty heartwarming to watch, right? Plus, another glimpse at Luigi’s Mansion 3 right before release is just what we all need. I wonder if the advice the father gave to his daughter on how to progress in The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening stemmed from a playthrough of his on the Switch or his own memories of the Game Boy original. Am I reading too much into a forty-five-second commercial? I’ll leave that to the readers to decide.

The “My Way” commercial comes at a good time, illustrating two fantastic games that are very fresh on Switch (Luigi’s Mansion 3 is not even out until tomorrow, but rest assured, it’s great). 2019 has been wonderful for the system, with a steady stream of great titles that started all the way back with Yoshi’s Crafted World and has never lost momentum–since then, we have seen Super Mario Maker 2Fire Emblem: Three HousesAstral Chain, Daemon X Machina, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s AwakeningLuigi’s Mansion 3 will continue that momentum tomorrow, and then Pokémon Sword and Shield will hopefully pay dividends in November. Even without a heavy hitter on par with Super Mario OdysseyThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, 2019 has added something for everyone. “My Way” is a pretty apt title for the commercial line, huh?
