The outbreak of COVID-19 across the world has had people scrambling for hygienic products like soap, disinfectants, and cleaners. In many places, you’d be hard-pressed to find such products in stock. But, this is a gaming news site. So, what does any of this have to do with video games? Well, in addition to having a heightened sense of health, consumers are also taking care to satisfy their sense of boredom as millions are stuck at home due to lockdown orders. This combination of factors is what led to this interesting sign showing what’s out of stock being posted in a Target store, featuring the Switch and a collection of other items.

This photo was taken by Wesley Knapp, who lives in Los Angeles, California. The stay-at-home orders in LA have left the city mostly empty in recent weeks, so it’s no surprise that the folks over there have an increased interest in the Switch.

Have you been seeing something similar happen in your area?
