Crossing

One thing Animal Crossing: New Horizons does well is bring people together. During a time when social distancing is the norm, it’s nice to have some semblance of a community, even virtually. The game can even bring joy to gamers who have experienced hardship because of the effects of the current pandemic. A particular couple was due to have a wedding that was canceled due to the virus. Luckily, the fiancé managed to recreate the event using New Horizons.

Animal Crossing marriages are cheaper than in real life

Reddit user u/ashmush posted the following on the website regarding the ceremony:

My fiance planned it out with our best friends, Im graduating from med school and not getting a graduation and our wedding was cancelled. I was feeling pretty down about missing out on my milestones.

This made me so happy, I don’t even have the words to describe how much it meant to me.

(Also if you zoom in close he made a little N&S for our initials on the hearts floor)

This was a total surprise for ashmush. I’m glad she was able to experience some joy after receiving such disappointing news. The power of video games is mighty, indeed.
