When Daemon X Machina launched a few weeks ago, it only contained a single-player and cooperative mode. A versus mode was promised to be coming in the future, but until now, the specifics on just when that would happen were unknown. The official Daemon website has been updated to reveal a timeline of content updates coming this year, and it turns out the versus mode is coming soon–in less than two weeks, actually.
The timeline indicates that by the end of the year there will be four content updates for Daemon x Machina. The first of these comes on October 10th, and includes both the 1v1 and 2v2 mech battle modes. In addition to these modes, there’s some sort of ranking system coming here as well.
The other updates don’t have specific dates, just a few general windows. In early November, a few unspecified collaborations are being added to the game, including special Arsenals and costumes. Then, both in late November and sometime in December, more Reclaimers, weapons, and armor will be available for use. The December update also may feature some other elements, which are currently under consideration.
Daemon X Machina‘s producer Kenichiro Tsukuda also posted a message to fans, which reads (translation courtesy of Siliconera):
To all players,
Thank you for your support of Daemon X Machina.
Today we’ve announced the roadmap for updates.
I believe some of you guys are looking forward to the versus play, but we’re also adding an additional boss in November, and a new kind of cooperative play in December.
By all means, I hope to see you guys keep playing for a while, as a game that you can ‘play together.’
