3000th Duel

3000th Duel is making the jump from PC to Switch next week on February 19. The massive dark fantasy Metroidvania has a pretty generic premise–you play as a masked amnesiac on a quest to uncover secrets to their past. The gameplay is the much larger draw. To conquer 3000th Duel, players will have to test their mettle in platforming and combat across over 300 connected areas and more than 150 treacherous monsters and bosses. Check out the trailer below for a better look at what the game is all about.

Despite already releasing on PC, 3000th Duel is a bit of a mystery, holding no reviews on Metacritic. The game does have a Steam user score of 7/10, but Steam user scores are a frontrunning contender for World’s Most Useless Quality Metric. The game certainly shows some potential in the trailer, with combat slightly reminiscent of another indie amnesia-fueled adventure, Dust: An Elysian TailFast-paced encounters with three different weapons and combat styles–agile blade attacks, heavy sword strikes, and distant, strategic lance moves–should allow everyone to find an approach to combat that works for them.nint
