Like a disappointed father, THQ Nordic is shaking its head at EB Games Canada. The games retailer has apparently leaked a couple of games from the studio. If true, we can expect to see Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition and new IP Biomutant coming to Switch.
Word got out after Twitter user @Lbabinz shared how they found the listings on EB Games’ website. Darksiders II was first spotted, then Biomutant. As of this moment, both listings are still on the online store. Biomutant even has a placeholder release date of 3/30/2020 despite the publisher only stating 2019 so far.
Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition follows the tale of Death, one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse, in an adventure of biblical proportions. It runs parallel to the events of the first game and continues the Zelda-like gameplay that makes it a fan favorite. This particular version comes with improved graphics, game balancing, and all previously released DLC.
Biomutant is a brand new IP set in a post-apocalyptic world with mutated animals. Think Rocket Raccoon in Devil May Cry, but with mechs, abilities through mutation, and a morality system. When speaking with the lead designer, he explained that the story will play out depending on which factions (six total) you decide to align with.
Do you plan to pick up either game on Switch? Let us know in the comments.
